It's the biggest day of the year for giving in Adams County!


Give Hastings Day is your opportunity to support the nonprofit community with one easy gift. With more than 100 participating nonprofit organizations and projects, you're sure to find organizations doing work that is especially meaningful to you. In our first ten years, Give Hastings Day has raised nearly $6.5 million for Adams County organizations!


This year, early giving will begin on April 16 with Give Hastings Day culminating on May 1.

  • What is Give Hastings Day?

    Give Hastings Day is a fundraising event created to rally community support for local charitable causes. This unique fundraiser is being organized by the Hastings Community Foundation. Giving will culminate at 11:59 pm on Thursday, May 1.


    Community members are asked to make donations to show support for the local nonprofit organizations that positively impact our lives every day.


    The purpose of this community-wide giving challenge is to raise awareness of the current philanthropic needs of our community, build the capacity of local nonprofits, and inspire donors to support the causes that mean the most to them. Together we have the power to raise thousands of dollars and significantly impact the future of Hastings.

  • What are the benefits of giving on Give Hastings Day?

    There are lots of reasons why hundreds of donors from across our community participate in Give Hastings Day. Here are a few of the reasons we hear most often:


    1. It's easy. By making just one credit card transaction or writing one check, you can give to has many nonprofits as you'd like! Support one nonrprofit or make a gift to dozens - it's still just one transaction.


    2. Nonprofits win. Thanks to our sponsors, every gift made to a nonrpofit helps that organization secure bonus dollars and become elgible for prize money. That means that your gift, no matter the amount, is helping your favorite nonprofit unlock extra dollars!


    3. It's fun. On Give Hastings Day, you'll be able to see real time totals of each organization. You can follow the competition while you make a gift to help your favorite nonprofit get to the top of the leaderboard!

  • Who can participate?

    Nonprofit organizations who serve Hastings and Adams County are welcome to participate. This includes causes such as health and human services, art and culture, children and families support, education, animals, parks and recreation, non-denominational religious projects, and many more.

  • How will people participate?

    Donations will be made online at ​givehastings.org​. Give Hastings Day will start on April 16 and will culminate at 11:59 pm on May 1. Donations must be made during this time to qualify for the Bonus Bucks and prize pool.


    Donors who wish to participate, but may not want to make a gift online may mail a check to the Hastings Community Foundation. ​Please note: checks must be made out to the Hastings Community Foundation and must be received by May 1. The minimum donation is $10.

    Visit givehastings.org​ ​to learn about all the participating nonprofits. Beginning on April 16, you can make a contribution online to any combination of organizations you choose - all with one, easy transaction!
