Corvair Museum of America

About the Organization

The Corvair Museum of America, located in Hastings, Nebraska, is a museum dedicated to the Chevrolet Corvair, a compact car produced by General Motors from 1960 to 1969. Revolutionary and unique in many ways, the Corvair pioneered several automotive technologies such as unibody design, turbocharging, and advanced aluminum production techniques. It also sparked the beginning of a focus on automotive safety, thanks to a book by a then-unknown lawyer by the name of Ralph Nader.

The vision of the Corvair Museum of America is to preserve the legacy of the Corvair through engaging, educational exhibits while entertaining visitors of all ages with dynamic displays and hands-on experiences.
